Background

A 25-year veteran of the IT Industry, I have spent my career in commercially aware positions covering everything from Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, Professional Services and Consulting and most recently as the Head of IT for a Managed Services IT Solutions Provider.
Within my most recent role, I managed a team of Technical Heads, Led the BAU IT environment, Acted as Lead Transformation Programme Consultant, led various steering committees to change the direction of the business to be Cloud and SaaS led, Oversaw the wholesale change to a Customer 1st viewpoint where customer advocacy and lifetime value became our key operational objective, changed our Solution Portfolio to facilitate the needs of the new post-Covid world.
A naturally curious individual, I enjoy finding innovative ways to fix known and unknown problems, create wholesale operational and digital transformation strategies and always working with the Timescales and Budget constraints as my viewpoint.

Cato Networks SASE
- Validated market offerings and created the commercial business case
- Technical project lead in implementing Cato, taking over existing WAN locations (connected via VPN), with SD-WAN via the Cato Cloud
- Created the project plan and led the roll out with zero 3rd party professional services required
- Continuous checkbacks to keep improving the environment, such as implementing VLAN’s and tying into Cambium Switch/Wi-Fi Deployment

Cambium Networks Switches & Wi-Fi
- Designed and deployed a scalable VLAN infrastructure to all sites within the group
- Closely aligned to the Cato Networks SASE solution for the L3 capabilities, L2 Switches with supporting VLAN’s were ultimately rolled out
- Guest and Azure captive portals were utilised for specific SSID’s to allow customers and employees BOYD’s Wi-Fi access respectively

8x8 Cloud PBX
- Managed the roll out of 8×8 to all offices
- De-Commissioned 6 legacy phone systems and contract terminations of old systems, lines etc over 9 locations
- Implemented and configured QoS & CoS where applicable across the infrastructure as required
- Fully integrated into Microsoft Teams via Direct Routing

Barracuda Networks Core/MSP
- Barracuda Email Security
- Barracuda RMM to replace existing PDQ Deploy
- Barracuda Cloud to Cloud Backup for Office 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Teams)

ServiceNow ITSM & CSM
- Completed the ServiceNow Admin Course
- Assisted 3rd party implementation of platform within the business
- Migrated from Freshdesk to ServiceNow

DaaS Deployment Centre
- Built a custom DaaS Ceployment Centre
- Running VMware ESXi Server to run Customer SCCM node for remote deployment
- Secured network with dedicated VPN setup to allow for Domain Join as part of the remote deployment
- Created documentation and process flows for Deployment Engineers to follow
- Obtained the correct shelving and oversaw the building works to create the space required for the DaaS Build Centre
